History of the Middle East (short version)

A little Cultural Anthropology is in order here:

The amount of willful disinformation on this topic is huge. This is really an attempted land grab which has been going on since it was reawakened by the need for the Allies to appease the Axis powers at the armistice of WW2's European Theater. By allowing the defeated Germans to excise their Jews who had emigrated there from the ghettos of Russia and were causing a lot of unrest due to their strain on the already existent German Catholic and Lutheran economy. Orthodox Russia was too tough for the Jews so they went west to Germany.  The Germans were miserable enough and did not want them there. There was not enough surplus to sustain more people who had a high birthrate even then.

Much Earlier... The entire region from the Ural Steppes to the southernmost reaches of the Arabian Peninsula was a wild west environment for thousands of years. Everyone called themselves Khazars. Then one small group of "chosen" dissenters decided they wanted the choice Med Sea ocean front property and claimed superiority by claiming themselves the direct descendants of God and informing the rest of their neighbors they they were merely human visages of animal spirits wanting to be real human beings. The wrote a manual which laid forth their claims called the "Old Testament" and referred to it as the Bible.  They were good screenwriters even then. They named themselves Jews. As God in human bodies They were more important than their neighbors and therefore needed the best land on the Mediterranean Sea for themselves.

A thousand years passed...much turmoil...bloodshed... The Semitic Jews were not able to control the area but they did learn to get along reasonably with the others who were still not willing to grant them special status. Their Semitic Arab cousins did not share the Jewish belief that the Jews were God's chosen but the Jews did learn how to get along with them and in 1918 both cousins were living relatively peacefully. Then comes the Rockefeller Oil Revolution and the land was the source of riches for the tiring European and Americans who were wearing thin with class and labor issues needed a distraction. So we got the automobile and the manufactured need for oil (railroads were working just fine at the time). 

Suddenly the Middle East was more than a group of feuding in-laws, it was a gold mine. Then WW2 came and went and as a appeasement the appropriation of a separate parcel of land in the service of the Western Empire was made out of whole cloth and called Israel. This was 1948 and the idea was to chase as many Palestinian Arabs out of their home as was needed to empty the coffers of Germany and Austria and Poland of their unwanted Jews. 

Then as the state of Israel thrived due to the draining of the United States Treasury they sought Jewish only settlers from around the world and guaranteed them $58,000 a year in US taxpayer dollars. And they threatened to withdraw this free money if the Jews did not kill Arabs in the surrounding oil rich lands with American and British made weapons. The Jews agreed to kill as many Arabs as they could as long as the Americans and British did not desert them. 

The only thing that will stop this is to cut the Israeli money and keep money from people such as Bernie Madoff from organizing American Jews to send their money into the Greatest Ponzi Scheme of All time -- Israel. I am not sorry that the American Jewish Committee lost so much money along with AIPAC when uncle Bernie Madoff went belly up. Serves them right. America, Love it or Leave it. Invest your money in America not Israel.

For every Vietnamese death Americans dropped over 2 pounds of bombs.
After the war unexploded munitions remained. Dioxin remained.. herbicides remained.
This was not in any way mutual destruction. This was not a fair fight. This was was definitely not a defeat for America it was instead an unqualified success. A most successful genocide, eclipsed only by Germany in WW2. Just killing mostly primitive people in their bamboo homes and burning town after town after town. Done from the safety of the air by sparky high-heeled American boys named McCain who joined to win the love and respect of his father and grandfather and to impress the girls...and this was while only one in 4 thought it was horrid. Four dead in Ohio.

dnoll: One thing never changes. Anyone who says that we were not treated with respect and honor when we returned from Viet Nam wasn't there to begin with. I find that generally they reveal themselves to be Republican draft dodgers like Dick Cheney and George Bush who were not getting any sex at all because they were cowards who cried and whined their way out of mandatory service. We were drafted and taken away from our families and they knew the rotten deal that we had received. It was only the draft dodging Republicans who made up this story you peddle to pad the lies about their real cowardice in the face of the draft. They are chickens and you sir "djnoll" are a yellow bellied coward who never served and is lying through his teeth in this blog.

I and everyone who I ever met after returning was treated with respect and dignity. More than we deserved actually. We had the choicest wine, women, and song. We hitched anywhere we wanted and were loved and honored for having returned alive. Every woman wanted to have sex with us and give us the greatest love they had. The hippies were especially nice and they gave us home grown pot and Owsley acid. There was great pot coming from Southeast Asia and guys were filling their seabags with it and bringing them to New York in the Brooklyn Navy Yard where I was being processed for separation. Woodstock Summer 1969 was all peace and love and New York City opened up the city for us.

The CIA hadn't yet released aids to the general population although they were very busy trying to perfect it because there was so much sex in 1969 with the free love movement they feared that if they did not give everyone a disease when they had sex, make pot and acid illegal that Richard Nixon might lose the 1972 election. The religious morons were even starting to take off their magic underwear. They made recreational drugs illegal and they started taking the returning veterans and busting them for pot and acid and jailed them intentionally giving them jail records so that we couldn't find jobs.

In everyday society if you were not a long haired hippy you were considered brain dead. Only stiff Republican matronly women like Lynne Cheney, Laura Bush, and Hillary Clinton were available for partners. And they made you marry them first! I pity you "djnoll", you got nothing for being a coward and you have been trying to enter hip society ever since and you can't do it because you wear your shame on your face and you can't wash it off, --you chickened out. In 1969, the only people who didn't get favored by the girls were miserable poor little shamed Republicans. Having no war stories to tell they started telling this lie you are telling now.

The returnees today are mercenaries who chose to kill because they couldn't find a job. They were not lied to. They knew they were going to Kill Arab civilians and they were going to get well paid for it. I made 98 dollars a month in the US Navy and went all they way to 156 dollars a month when I made E-4. These miserable Iraq Afghan "vet" types were very well paid while they gleely killed civilians. They need to be separated from society to some sort of Devil's Island and until this happens they deserve the Lysistrata treatment (shunning) from women. And you can go there too "djnoll" for doing your George Bush Pom Pom Andover cheerleading bit here in this respectful blog. We actual Veterans do not countenance your stinking lie and wish you would start telling the truth about how you are still yellow. We VETERANS are really fed up with you and your chicken Republican buddies.

The only real hero in the Iraq/Afghanistan war was and is John Walker Lindh. Get it right kiddo no one was ever spat upon upon returning from Viet Nam. -It- -just- -didn't- -happen-. You are lying, lying, lying. It never happened. Go to a Republican site where liars are always welcome.

Lance Corporal said it all when he said "civilian life is tough". Especially so if you happen to be a targeted civilian being targeted by Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry. But making the adjustments necessary for being a responsible citizen is what we require of citizens. Life IS hard and you have to do it the right way. Taking the easy way out by grabbing a gun and killing the innocent is the lowest form of adjustment that a human being can make. It damns the soul eternally, so I have been told as I wait for my judgment on my participation in the 1967 Six Day War. Take the counsel of one who has been there and give these happy Army fools no more of your precious life. Dementors, the lot of them content to suck the life from you and your children -all for want of creativity.

You and Rick and the rest of the republican trolls might want to re-enlist but don't expect any of my money or treasure when and if you return. Only the dead have seen the end of the war. I find that paid killers are thoroughly disgusting no matter who they work for. You cannot bomb your way to peace. I would not hire a killer and neither of you should hire yourselves out to kill with your toxic rhetoric. Wake UP!!!!!!!!!!!

The previous administration made up an excuse for killing for oil and you support that when you do not speak out against it. The 911 bombers were Saudi. There were no WMD. It was just another bad Republican joke and it was on you and all of those who support the war. Saddam told the truth. Scott Ritter told the truth. Hans Blick told the truth. Rumsfeld lied. Powell lied. Bush lied. Millions died. Making you happy to be a Newt Gingrich clone. How proud you must be. Nearly human I would suggest...

You need to get out more and read a book. Fully 70% of us Americans are putridly sick of the military killers who call themselves peacemakers and wear the American flag on their arm. I can walk for days and not find a single American who is happy about the death that the lies of the Bush Administration brought about. But we are really mad at American boys and girls who shame us by not standing up to those lies and instead enlisted in an all volunteer army so they could go abroad and kill. No, we are horrified at that.

During the Civil War we were horrified at their great grandfathers who thought they could enslave Blacks. We are not in any way proud of military killers. The stain of blood of these military killers will never wash out. It continues instead to embarrass and shame. Abu Ghriab, and the carpet bombings of Faluja stand out as monumental war crimes right alongside the Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon. The American Army is just as disgusting as the Israeli Army. And this comes from one who was in the Six Day War of 1967. If you think the American Army is doing the work of Americans then you might leave for Iraq and stay there. No slack for murderers even if they once played quarterback on your high school football team. Be a man and stand up to war and the senseless slaughter of the innocent civilians of Iraq, Afghanistan, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Laos, Grenada, etc.etc.etc. Don't throw your life away just because you are having trouble figuring out what to do with yourself. Be a MAN. Climb out of that cave struggle toward the light.

Ayn Rand, wow! It's like hearing Charlton Heston braying from the grave. Ah! To return to yesteryear with the metallic rutting of Hank Reardon and Dagney Taggart on a speed date. What deathless prose. Did you read the Reader's Digest condensation or did you plod through the paperback original? Now that I think of it there was a Cliff's Notes version or was it Classics Comics? I haven't had a thrill like that since my first Jeffery Archer, "Cain and Abel". Good fiction style for a quick read on the shuttle flight but this is not the kind of thing you want to base your life view upon unless you plan to assist Rush Limbaugh in his increasing senility. He will love you for being able to quote these line by line so maybe you are on to something. You appear to be a nit in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is a really progressive and liberal blog. People like you who read Rand generally hang out at GOP places. You are just needlessly muddying the waters here and should probably move on.

These soldiers are never too bright to begin with, in fact they are in the 55-75 IQ range as set by the continually lowered recruiting standards of the US and British governments. Normal IQ is 100 and people like Biden and Obama are in the 130 to 160 range. In another era they would have been placed in a bag with rocks and thrown over the side of the boat. But because we have wars which are fought by immigrants officered by white southern trash educated in "Military Schools" we have a problem. These are exceedingly stupid and desperate humans who are taught to muscle up and kill, kill, kill and NEVER to ask questions of their leaders or (God forbid) themselves.

Look at the Israelis who kill Palestinians at the rates of 150 to 200 to one after their two year indoctrination into the Israeli Army and you may see in their faces the sadly impaired genetic mistakes who will never be dentists or doctors or investment bankers or the makers of atomic bombs like Oppenheimer or theorist Einstein but who were sent instead by their US parents to Israel to defend the Israeli Zone of occupied Palestine. The truly evil in the world do kill their young and simple in this way.

The peaceful and intelligent will continually be threatened and betrayed by the mentally lame who are always ready to go for the bait of proving themselves even if it means placing themselves and their countrymen into harms way so through their "heroic sacrifice" they will be able to grasp something that could only be achieved by proper special education and disabled care and treatment at an early age. Of course it is easier for elites to offer them up for cannon fodder rather than to provide a proper therapeutic environment when they are young and able to be treated. Instead they go to "war" and come back ready and armed and trained to play "DOOM" in real life in their homeland with liberals as the targets. How to Kill a Palestinian

Commenting on the latest Israeli one-directional onslaught against the Palestinians of Gaza Strip, the Israeli 10th TV channel has disclosed that the Israeli genocidal forces had used half of its air force and had launched at least 2500 air raids against Gaza Strip. The television military correspondent stated that the Israeli warplanes had dropped more than a thousand tons of explosives, including white phosphorous and DIME (Dense Inert Metal Explosive) bombs, during three weeks on the virtually unarmed densely populated 360 square Kilometers Strip. He added that the shells fired by tanks, artillery, gunboats, and infantry were not included in those fired by the air force.

After a whole week of continuous air bombardments Israel sent in its elite foot soldiers; 30,000 of them, and called in 10,000 of its reservists. Armed with the latest weapons of mass murder, covered with an umbrella of free reigning air force, and accompanied with raining shells of heavy artilleries, they drove their tanks into the civilian towns murdering civilians and destroying every structure in their path.

Living outside of Gaza one cannot fully understand the barbarity of this genocide especially when the Western media had barely covered any of its atrocity. To gain a slight idea of its enormity one should remember that, during the 6-days war of 1967, this same Israeli army was distributed on four fronts; Egyptian, Jordanian, Syrian, and Lebanese, and it was fighting regular armies. Now the whole brunt of this army is concentrated on a small strip against unarmed and untrained civilian population.

Latest official count was 1350 murdered, 40% of them were children, and 5300 were injured; mutilated and amputated. It was reported that 80% of the injured were the victims of burning phosphorous bombs. More dead are being discovered under the rebels, and many seriously injured are expected later on to die.

Israeli tanks had left several city blocks completely destroyed without any homes or structure standing. The tanks shelled homes and apartment towers. Due to the small size of Gaza Strip Palestinians had to build vertically. Many apartment towers went up 15-20 stories high with each story containing 6-8 apartments. A total of 20,000 buildings were completely or partially burnt and damaged. The UN has reported that more than 50,000 Palestinians are left homeless and are now crowded into 50 emergency shelters. An estimated of 50,000 more are living with relatives and in tents they erected on the ruins of their homes.

The Israeli bombardment targeted everything in Gaza including government buildings, police headquarters, banks and business offices, the main university, 67 schools sheltering civilians, shopping centers and market places, factories, water, sewer, and electricity infrastructures, private homes and apartment towers and charity organizations. Farms, including their animals, were also targeted and hundreds of acres of crops and fruit groves were incinerated. Religious buildings, where civilians usually seek shelter, were specifically targeted. Israeli fighter planes had completely destroyed 41 mosques, and partially damaged 51 others. One church was also targeted. Even cemeteries were not spared; 5 of them were bombed.

Although the Israeli army was given the exact GPS co-ordinates of every UN structure, as asserted by Christopher Gunness, the UNRWA spokesman, Israeli F-16 planes had repeatedly dropped phosphorous bombed on UN schools knowing very well that hundreds of civilians had taken shelter there. At least 45 children and women were burnt and murdered there.

The UN headquarters in Gaza City was also hit with three, not just one, phosphorous bombs burning tons of humanitarian aid and food stuff. The fire kept on burning for three days. UN-flagged humanitarian convoy was also shelled killing one driver.

Medical centers and paramedics were not spared. The Red Crescent Al-Quds hospital in Tal el-Hawa neighborhood was hit by Israeli shells and caught on fire. Other two hospitals; Al-Wafa and Al-Fata hospitals, were also shelled, leading the World Health Organization to express its deep concern about the serious implications of such bombardments. 16 other smaller health clinics and 16 ambulances were also damaged. Medics were targeted and prevented from helping the injured. Ten of them, including two doctors, were murdered.

Media centers were particularly targeted. Local and international news reporters were prevented from entering Gaza. Those, who were able to enter, were directly targeted. The Al-Shuruq office tower housing several international and Arab media outlets was directly hit. Two cameramen working for Abu Dhabi TV were injured, while the offices of Reuters News Agency, Fox TV, Sky, and Al-Arabiya TV offices were damaged. Another raid had damaged the headquarter offices of Al-Resala newspaper.

Similar to all their previous wars the Israeli soldiers had committed massacres against Palestinian unarmed civilians. They have used internationally banned weapons such as phosphorous bombs, DIME, and depleted uranium, as reported by international physicians, eyewitnesses, and military experts. Israeli soldiers had mutilated the bodies of their victims to instill terror in the hearts of people hoping they will leave Gaza. Israeli soldiers herded many families in one building using them as human shield, and then later on bombed the building on top of them. They shot civilians, mainly children, directly and at point blank. The bodies of some children were found shot several times; as many as 18 bullets in the body of a 12 years old girl, and 12 bullets in the body of her 2 years old sister.

Israeli soldiers had wiped off whole Palestinian families. Al-Samuni family lost 11 members, Abu Aisha family lost 6, Batran family lost 6, al-Rayyan family lost 15 and al-Balousha family lost 5 sisters. Other families, too many to mention here, were either murdered or incinerated by the phosphorous bombs. The Israeli army has been carrying out a deliberate indiscriminate mass murder. During the first Intifada, 1987 – 1993, they murdered 1162 Palestinians. During the second Intifada, 2001- 2006, they murdered 5500 Palestinians. Now, in a short period of three weeks, they murdered 1350 Palestinians.

This onslaught is a holocaust since the many tons of phosphorous bombs, dropped on Gaza cities, had burnt civilians to the bones, burnt their homes and buildings, and burnt their fields and crops. This is the holocaust that the Israeli Deputy Defense Minister, Matan Vilnai, had threatened Palestinians with when he stated: “the more Qassam fire intensifies and the rockets reach a longer range, they will bring upon themselves a bigger shoah (holocaust) because we will use all our might to defend ourselves.”

One cannot help but wonder how could a group of people, who claim to be the victims of a holocaust, commit another holocaust against another nation. What is it that feeds, perpetuates and intensifies this Judaic genocidal spirit although all Arabs, including Palestinians, had offered these Zionist Jews many agreements of coexistence, peace and security? The answer comes through their media outlets, through the words of their scholarly educators, and through the teachings of their Rabbis.

“All of the Palestinians must be killed; men, women, infants, and even their beasts” cries the religious opinion of Rabbi Yisrael Rosen, the director of the long-established Tsomet Religious Institute. He wrote that Palestinians are like the nation of Amalekites, who attacked the Israelite tribes led by Moses on their way to Jerusalem. He stated that the Lord sent down in the Torah a ruling that allowed the Jews to kill the Amalekites, and that this ruling is known in Jewish jurisprudence.

The Torah states: “Annihilate the Amalekites from the beginning to the end. Kill them and wrest them from their possessions. Show them no mercy. Kill continuously, one after the other. Leave no child, plant, or tree. Kill their beasts, from camels to donkeys.” Rosen stated that Amalekites are not a particular race, but rather all those who hate and oppose the Jews; Christians and Muslims.

Many leading Israeli Rabbis support Rosen’s views. Israel’s former Sephardic Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu advocated carpet bombing of Gaza stating that “there is absolutely no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians during massive military offensive on Gaza” (The Jerusalem Post, 30 May, 2007). His son Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu amplified his father’s genocidal call stating: “if they don’t stop after we kill 100, then we must kill a thousand, then we must kill 10,000 and even a million”

Many Rabbis had argued that Palestinians in Gaza are not innocent civilians and that during war time it is not individuals but nations the Israelis are fighting. (It seems that Hitler had adopted this Telmudic teaching when he persecuted all European Jews)

Israeli educators, scholars, and politicians, openly, advocate the annihilation of all Palestinians. Dr. Nachum Rakover, a legal scholar, opined “They voted for killers and sent them to kill us. To call them (civilians) innocent is a tragic comedy… civilians are partners of the killers” Eli Yeshai, Israeli official in the Orthodox Shas party argued that “extermination of the enemy is sanctioned by the Torah” Many other politicians called for the need for “wiping off Gaza from the face of earth”, and “annihilating of every moving thing there.” The right-wing Israeli politician Avigdor Lieberman proposed nuking Gaza following the US example when it dropped the atomic bomb on Japan during WWII.

This “ideology of annihilation” is by no means a minority opinion in Israel, but represents a mainstream in the Jews of Israel as well as Jews in the West (US). The popular attitude is “if it was right by God to order us to commit genocide during Biblical time, why can’t it be right to commit genocide now. Has God changed his mind?” Indeed Judaic god is a racist genocidal god.

The Israeli spokesman, Nachman Abramovic demonized Palestinian children stating “They may look young to you, but these people are terrorists at heart. Don’t look at their deceptively innocent faces, try to think of the demons inside each of them … I am absolutely certain these people would grow to be evil terrorists if we allowed them to grow… would you allow them to grow to kill your children or finish them off right now? … honost and moral people ought to differentiate between true humans and human animals. We do kill human animals and we do so unapologetically. Besides who in the West is in a position to lecture us on killing human animals. After all, whose hands are clean?”

Human animal mentioned by Abramovic refers to the Judaic religious belief that Jews are Gods chosen people; the elite and the pure-blooded, while all others (non-Jews, Goyims, gentiles) are animal souls incarnated into human bodies to serve the Jews. Killing a human animal is just a sport like hunting deer or birds.

Another Israeli spokeswoman, Tzipora Menache, stated that she was not worried about negative ramifications the Israeli onslaught on Gaza might have on the way the Obama administration would view Israel. She said “You know very well, and the stupid Americans know equally well, that we control their government, irrespective of who sits in the White House. You see, I know it and you know it that no American president can be in a position to challenge us even if we do the unthinkable. What can they (Americans) do to us? We control congress, we control the media, we control show biz, and we control everything in America. In America you can criticize God, but you can’t criticize Israel”

It is time to stop supporting Jews in the United States like dear uncle Bernie Madoff and his clients who are without the capacity of love and instead steal from everyone in sight and then send the money to Israel to kill Arabs. The interesting dynamic of Jews here in the United States is that they use their money to bribe the Congress to give money to Israel then Israel gives the money to Jews in America through AIPAC allowing them to dominate the political and mercantile landscape. Then through AIPAC they bribe Congress again and then more money goes to Israel. The non-Jews in America are robbed by Jews in this way year after year. The Jews have become the dominant financial force through this annual cycle of greed and stealing. Americans are being bled bone dry by these literal blood-sucking leeches.

How much money did you get from Israel this year? How did your family get filthy rich? How many of your dull children and relatives are planning to take that American taxpayer money you stole in order to live in a West Bank settlement in Palestine and on the outskirts of Gaza and kill Palestinians in their own lands. You and your ilk disgust me. If you want to save your worthless soul, renounce Abraham and enter the brotherhood of men on planet Earth. The Thirteenth Tribe has been an invading and occupying force in Palestine since they slithered out of the Khazar steppe region at the base of the Urals. Your kind have been stealing and killing and lying about your origins for several millennia. You seem to think that you are "the chosen people" and that everybody else is just some rube to be fleeced. You invented usury and the credit default swap in order to take, take, take. It is really fortunate that you don't have love or compassion in your genes otherwise you would all have died of shame many,many centuries ago.

Moving on from the Jewish invasion of Palestine to the newer Mexican invasion of the United States. The “self-hating liberal” accepting attitudes of the immigrant invasion will hopefully cave-in when Central American miliary tuberculosis, tuberculosis meningitis, and the H5N1 to H5N7 avian flu variations provide wave after wave of epidemics from which we have no protection. In Richmond, California where I live and occasionally teach, students entering schools are given PPD tests for tuberculosis but the illegals who jump the border do not take the test and their infection rate is 30% positive. These folks have zero consciousness on health issues and are uneducated on matters of public health. 

An ESL magnet school nearby has a faculty of 30; and 23 have contracted a strain of avian flu from the students. The students are traveling back and forth to Mexico all the time and getting reinfected and are not being tested upon reentry. Nearly every immigrant household harbors one to several illegal border crossers who are not tested for anything and who in turn infect their sequestering saviors. The children are then exposed to TB and H5N and they go to school and infect everyone they come in contact with on the bus and in the classroom and lunchroom. Hence there is a flu epidemic with no available public health program to meet the threat. Out of those 23 teachers who have the flu only two have kicked it. The rest think it will just go away. It doesn’t, it progresses to pneumonia and fills the lung cavity with fluid. How many people did you see today who are coughing quietly while driving their bus or riding their bus? You can spend a few hours out in Richmond and see the coughing dozens of times. You ask these legal American folks if they had flu shots and they say “yes”. But they are sick and can only be treated by antibiotics and think that they have a “cold”. 95% of colds are allergies but these diseases began before the pollen season began.

There is a new tuberculosis which has attached itself to Mexican cattle and is being transmitted by Mexican “bathtub” queso fresco (fresh cheese). This tuberculosis has the ability to cross infect from one species to another. Pork is also a new avenue for infection with the disease and the biological similarity of the human and the pig makes this even more problematic. American citizens are now being asked to house and feed and clothe and care for the Mexican poor as they are being forced out of Mexico by the government. And their Mexican propaganda machine is running 24-7 accusing American citizens who object, -of racism. What is really occurring is that America is now the human dumping ground of the hemisphere taking the overflow for the patrician governments and elites of the world; -just like the Brits cleaned out their country and prisons and sent them on ships to America to get rid of their problems. Except for the pre-Columbian native Americans, nearly everybody got here the same way. 

The cycle needs to stop now. We need to demand the rest of the world take complete responsibility for their ineffective public health programs and not allow them to send any more of their tired, poor, and sick to the United States. The first solution to this problem is population control through education and strong borders. When you add in the effects of Mexican heroin and cocaine from Central America the conclusion is inescapable if our families are to survive, we have to “just say no” to all Central American immigrants. Mow your own damn grass. Take care of your own kids. Clean your own house and stop being a stranger to honest hard work.

"Whatever talents Obama has, he knows little about physical labor and goes on too much about "the dignity of it," as soft-handed intellectuals and office seekers forever yarp -- adeptly avoiding sweaty hard labor in favor of ritual gym workouts, ambling links. They brag of sports playing, swimming, running, working the iron, watching their weight, but never the 8-16 hours put in over many years of backbreaking, muscle rending, mind numbing, pleasureless effort that exhausts beyond a chance at dignity and body tone.

Bosses and investors and hustlers talk about the dignity of labor, other people's, while doing their best to equate the "hard work" to be in charge while charging others with the duty to make the "hard" easy for them. Photo-oping a paint roller, hammering a nail, daily gym ratting, insults workers who lack excess energy for that unproductive timewasting. No wonder the thin-muscled adore bailouts and praise, that's all the layabouts know and expect.

Obama and his cabinet, Congress, the Supremes and corporate chieftains, could prove their sincerity of concern for the public by at least one 8-hour day a week of hard labor being screamed at to work harder and faster by laughing laborers for-the-day-being-bosses who know what it means to be threatened by pay docking, by being fired when complaining.

Close the governmental and corporate gyms and dining rooms, use their cost to open the workhouses for productive workouts, working only undiginified jobs, feed leaders three meals of high-energy spuds, pay them less than minimum wage, give them no thanks at the end of the day. Ukraine is blackmailing us – Putin

As talks aimed at ending the gas dispute between Russia and Ukraine broke down in Brussels, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin accused the government in Kiev of deliberately plotting to block supplies of Russian gas to Europe.

Speaking to foreign journalists at his residence outside Moscow, the PM said Kiev's handling of the gas dispute showed that Ukraine was undergoing "political collapse".

Vladimir Putin: Russia, and the Soviet Union before, has been cooperating with Europe in the gas sphere for decades. The gas transportation system from the former USSR to Western Europe was built in the 1970s. All this time Russian gas companies have been fulfilling their contract obligations on time and without interruption. This happened even during the Cold War and the Cold War crisis. The Soviet and then Russian companies have never allowed a single breakdown. But after the breakup of the Soviet Union some failures took place. It was connected with the emergence of new transit countries, and this is clear to everyone. 

I’d like to draw your attention to the fact that during these years Ukraine for example was getting gas much cheaper than market prices. While we were supplying Western Europe with gas for $100, $150, $200 per 1,000 cubic metres, Ukraine received it for $40-50 per 1,000 cubic metres. Thus the Russian Federation has subsidised the Ukrainian economy just in the gas sphere to the tune of about $47 billion. In general, subsidies to former USSR republics in the gas sphere amount to $75 billion. I think you’ll agree that these are huge subsidies and no country would subsidise its partners in such a way.

During the whole of 2008 Gazprom has tried to settle the situation with Ukraine’s gas debt and has given full assistance to its partners in seeking solutions for paying off this debt. A little later I’ll tell you what additional offers we made. In the course of negotiations about the conditions of cooperation in 2009, Gazprom made a series of compromise offers to the Ukrainian side. I would like to draw your attention to the following fact. In previous years we’ve been buying gas ourselves in Middle-Asian countries - in Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. We transited this gas through our territory and sold it to Ukraine. That gas was quite a cheap resource. Of course this caused some negative reaction from our Middle Asian partners. To tell you the truth, so far we’ve managed to buy cheap gas there, but from this year it has become impossible. Middle Asian countries have transferred to European pricing in relations with Russia.

I don’t know if it is a commercial secret, but I’ll tell you: it differs in different countries, but the average price of Middle Asian gas for Russia this year is $340 per 1,000 cubic metres. If we calculate the price of gas transport to the Ukrainian border, it’ll be $375 per 1,000 cubic metres. Nevertheless, Gazprom made an extremely favorable offer to its Ukrainian partners. It’s awkward to reveal this price, but I’ll do it as well: $250 per 1,000 cubic metres. It is awkward because consumers in Russia may ask us: why? But Gazprom did it. And what do you think? This offer was turned down, and by the order of President Yushchenko. On January 31 the Ukrainian delegation stopped negotiations and left Moscow.

By the way, on December 30, despite their previous statements about a lack of money to pay off their debt, Ukraine transferred $1,5 billion, but it still owed $614 million for the gas supplied in December. The delegation of Ukraine’s Naftogaz left the negotiations in the evening of January 30 despite the favourable offers we made concerning the price of gas for Ukrainian customers, and that very day they sent Gazprom a notification which said that they were not ready to provide gas transit to Europe. 

I have a copy of that written notification. What does it mean? It means that unfortunately from the very beginning our Ukrainian partners were going to blackmail us, and this blackmailing concerned a possible blockade of our gas supplies to European consumers. Of course not having a contract on gas supplies to Ukraine itself by 10:00 of 1 January 2009 Gazprom was forced to stop gas supplies to consumers in Ukraine. 

On 2 January “Ukraine’s Naftogaz” officially declared - and we have this document as well - that it was starting to extract 21 milllion cubic metres of gas from the transit supplies allegedly for technological needs. At the same time the existing contract says that Ukraine must provide the transit system with technological gas from its own reserves. Because of unsanctioned gas extraction Gazprom increased gas supplies to Europe via other countries, in particular via Poland and Belarus, via the “Blue Stream” gas pipeline through Turkey.  Gazprom also started to use the gas it had in European gas storage and to buy gas on the free market with its own money to fulfill its contract obligations to its European partners. 

We asked our partners to stop stealing and make up for the illegally taken amount. No reaction whatsoever. That’s why we had to cut down the supply by the amount stolen on the territory of Ukraine.

By the way, from 1st to 6th of January, the volume of illegally siphoned gas reached 86 million cubic metres. On the morning of January 6, Ukraine completely stopped gas transit to the Balkans. It was not going in the Balkans direction only. Other customers received gas. Ukraine was still doing the transit. 

Statements that Russia halted the gas supply are ridiculous. Then, where did that gas going through the Gas-Transport System, received by other customers, come from? On January 6, in the morning, the following countries stopped receiving any gas at all - Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia and Romania. Moreover, there was a major decrease in gas supply to France, Austria and Germany. Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there, as you know. At about 7am on January 7, Ukraine closed the last, fourth gas pipe, which carried the transit gas to Europe.

That day, Naftogaz Ukraine changed the work mode of its Gas-Transport System and directed all the Russian gas it received to be used for its own purposes. We had a technical malfunction after what happened on the Ukrainian territory. But afterwards, Russia resumed gas supply into the Gas-Transport System of Ukraine. I have a report here with me, the result of the gas-meter reading inspection made by an independent international organisation SGS. You are welcome to look through it as well.

It says here that the work operations after the malfunction were resumed at 12.10. And when we saw that no amount of gas whatsoever was leaving the Ukrainian territory and going to Western Europe, at 17.40 we completely stopped the gas supply to Ukraine, which is also reflected in the report of this independent organisation. The pipe was out of operation at 17.40.

As for the gas transit contract: I’ve already mentioned that it was signed in 2006. The additional agreement to it was signed in April 2007. It is valid until December 31, 2010, and is subject to Swedish legislation. Any disagreement should be taken to the arbitration court in Stockholm. In line with this contract, Gazprom has filed a lawsuit to the arbitration court in Stockholm and is requesting that the court issues a freezing order to forbid any actions by Naftogaz Ukraine aimed at reduction of Russian gas transit to Europe in as short a time as possible.

But unfortunately this trial means nothing to our Ukrainian partners, despite the signed documents. Having violated all obligations and international norms they went to the Kiev Economic Court, and this court prohibited the transit of Russian gas through Ukrainian territory. If they keep acting in such a “civilised” way, the order will never be restored. 

Of course the most important issue in such conditions is not that of gas supplies, but that of providing gas supply security. Russia realised that such problems may appear long ago and decided to diversify how we supply our energy resources. For this purpose we initiated the construction of north-western pipeline at the bottom of the Baltic Sea and another pipeline which we call “Southern Stream” at the bottom of the Black Sea. That is why we also built the gas pipeline “Blue Stream” to Turkey at the bottom of the Black Sea, by the way now it’s fully loaded, and this eases the problem a little. 

I think that the current Ukrainian government is incapable of organising normal transparent functioning of Ukraine’s economy on a market principles basis. Moreover, their actions damage the prestige of the country and the Ukrainian people. This proves once again that we are witnessing political collapse in Ukraine and unfortunately it proves a high degree of corruption in the government. 

I’m looking through West European and North American media, and I’m sorry, I can’t find there an objective picture of what’s taking place. It’s just not there. I’m convinced all of you sitting at this table understand perfectly well what I’m saying. I don’t know what you’re going to write. I don’t know what instructions your bosses will give you. There must be some instructions, obviously, but the picture is far from objective. “Russia Shut Off Supplies”! We didn’t shut off anything! Our gas cannot make it through Ukraine’s territory. Ukraine is not honouring its transit responsibilities, even though it has ratified the Energy Charter. Even though it has signed a transit contract. It refuses to fulfill its obligations, period. It doesn’t want to pay for gas.

Lack of understanding and the will to control the population; misplaced "macho"; --and cruelty to women are the real cause of Middle East tensions. They can't feed their rapidly increasing numbers of starving children because they can't get out of bed long enough to keep from making more little hungry and starving children.  

The relativity of these observations seems to suggest that when such diverse views of parental/societal responsibility are forced to live side by side in a totally unnatural manner such as the indigenous Arabs and the incursive Israelis, --fatalities ensue.  Not only do bordering states with differing population structures spell trouble but they also provide a relief valve for the results of poor (or nonexistent) population management.
